The Harlan County Chamber of Commerce hosted a "Meet the Candidates" forum on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 6 p.m. at the Harlan Center in Downtown Harlan.  We had a great turn out for this event.  This was an opportunity for the public to have a chance to interact with the prospective candidates and hear their takes on important issues affecting Harlan County.  We asked the community to submit questions for the candidates and had some very good questions.  All questions were screened prior to the event and not all questions were asked.  We did not take questions from the audience.

We would like to thank Harlan Community Television for televising the event for us on their local analog and digital channels.  Special thanks also go out to Brandon Robinson, Harlan Sheriff's Department, Harlan City Police, Harlan Tourism, Air Evac Lifeteam, Harlan Baptist Church, Harlan County Chamber of Commerce planning team and Executive Director for their help in planning and providing items for the event.
