Harlan Chamber of Commerce Sponsors 2010 Angel Tree
When the need for sponsorship for the Harlan Angel Tree Program arose, the Harlan Chamber of Commerce
was quick to respond.
This is a program that several families across the county depend on, and the Chamber was
glad to be able to take over
responsibility
for the Angel Tree Program.

The Chamber Angel Tree committee, chaired by Drew Adams, worked closely with FRYSC coordinators at each elementary school, and compiled a list of close to four hundred children that could benefit from the Angel Tree. The chamber then worked closely with local business and organizations such as the Salvation Army and Harlan Fire Dept. to make sure each child received a good Christmas.

Thanks to the hard work of members of the Chamber and various civic groups, the chamber was able to provide less fortunate Harlan county children with toys, cloths, milk and cookies, and a chance to visit with Santa. The 2010 Angel Tree was a huge success, and the Chamber is already looking forward to an even more successful Angel Tree 2011.
